Daubois XHN-60 is a pointing mortar based on pure hydraulic lime from St-Astier (France), calibrated sand, an air entrainer and colorants (optional). The hydraulic properties (hardens by reaction with water) of this lime enable the formulation of a mortar containing no cement, thus coming closer to the formulation of historic mortars. The high lime content of XHN-60 increases self-healing properties, durability (freeze-thaw and spalling) and reduces shrinkage compared with conventional lime-cement mortar. For interior or exterior use, this mortar is specially formulated for joint restoration on brickwork and stonework on historic buildings.
